Welcome to T.R.A.I.L. 2008
Trail Recycled Art in Landscape

Welcome to the website of the fourth, environmental, coastal Sculpture Trail that was located at The Ness in Shaldon, Teignmouth Seafront, Jason's Garden and Dawlish Lawnsduring the summer of 2008. Many visitors walked the few hundred yards along the cliff path from Teignmouth towards Dawlish to visit Jason's Garden, a small but unique eco garden with an amazing view of Teignmouth and Lyme Bay. We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to the Pope family that allowed us to use their garden for the launch of T.R.A.I.L. 2008, opened everyday and provided magnificent new sites for sculpture.

The Gallery exhibitions at The Carlton Theatre, Tomorrow's Teignmouth building and Picture This exhibited art which was perceptive, beautiful and often challenging.

Trail is an unique mix of professional artist and artist led community groups, an event that is continuously evolving with 2008 seeing performance, literary and visual arts coming together exploring environmental issues. Many people contributed to the TRAIL community sculpture, 'The colours of Devon' at the mini eco-festivals on the afternoons of 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th August sponsored by Teignbridge District Council and through workshops at the exhibition venues. This community artwork will grow throughout the year and be exhibited in 2009
See 'What was on Page' for full details.

Leaflet with locations of sculptures and gallery exhibitions are available from Shaldon, Teignmouth and Dawlish Tourist information Offices. T.R.A.I.L. would like to thank the artists and community groups that give their time so willingly and our sponsors that make the event possible.
