Welcome to the home page for TRAIL 2011
Trail Recycled Art In Landscape
T.R.A.I.L. 2011, the seventh year of the Environmental Sculpture Trail, once again delighted local residents and visitors throughout the summer proving to be a very successful tourist attraction whilst offering Artists and community Groups an opportunity to exhibit their work to a wider audience, and for some, gain more experience in making Public Artworks.
In previous years sculpture has gone onto other venues with work being exhibited at the Eden Project, The Hannah Foundation at Seale Hayne, Weston Super Mare Art Festival, Brixham Community College and Newton Abbot Hospital. This year a high proportion of the sculpture was selected to go to Torre Abbey, Torquay until they close in October.
Inside T.R.A.I.L., at the T.A.A.G. Arts and Community Centre gallery, complemented the sculpture trail with innovative ways of re-using materials whilst cutting down on landfill.
Liz Lockyear, the founder and organiser, thanks all the artists and community groups for taking part as without them there would not be such a wonderful exhibition and invites anyone that is interested in taking part in T.R.A.I.L. 2012 to contact her at firstname.lastname@example.org . There are opportunities to exhibit Installation and Site Specific work as well as sculpture in some beautiful and unusual locations.
